Create internal content that feels well balanced, cohesive and supports the broader gameplay
Develop a strong methodology for creating balanced combat content using hypotheses and testing
Create design documents to articulate the most important pillars and aspects of the gameplay experience
Consider and evaluate data from gameplay in meaningful ways in order to improve your balancing
Develop a strong understanding of the interrelationships between different buckets of content and articulate clearly to other members of the design team
Maintain a rigid schedule for content generation
Analyze and adjust content quality and depth to avoid depreciating returns in design
Understand and incrementally improve internal content generation systems for all types of model data
Provide input on new content systems, broader design and live ops roadmap with content consumption in mind.
Create design overviews to articulate improvements in design thought, through incremental improvements of these documents via feedback
Help the design team in sounding out the fundamentals of new systems & new games

Help direct and mentor other members of the product team.

You will design core systems in our new games that are critical to their success by:
Creating proposals that articulate how these features and systems uphold the game’s design pillars and drive the desired player behaviors
Delivering clear, concise, and thorough specifications to cross functional teams responsible for implementing these systems
Providing team members with direction on how content should be created, tuned, and live operated within these systems
You will become an expert in the opportunity spaces, genres, and game mechanics you explore during prototyping and share your learnings with the broader product team to advance our collective knowledge.
You will develop an independent design philosophy that upholds the key tenets of Fortis’ approach to products while adding your own unique approach to thinking about emerging patterns in service design.

What you’ll need to be successful
A holistic view of game systems and the downstream effects of all design decisions throughout both the product and player lifecycle.
A firm understanding of fundamental design principles, metagame systems, game economies, and player psychology that allows you to design from first principles.
Ability to articulate the nuances of abstract concepts and how they apply to complex, interrelated systems.
Ability to synthesize feedback from team members, user playtests, and other validation efforts into product insights and rapidly iterate on designs.

“As Lead Game Designer, you will help shape the vision for a survival open-world crafting game set in the Dune universe. You will manage designers in one or more strike teams and drive design and content implementation efforts in sections of the game, reporting to the game director. The Lead Game Designer has experience planning and implementing game features and content. Position Summary: Senior 3D Environment Artist
Must have Unreal AAA game development exp. with at least 1 shipped title as Sr. Environment Artist on PC and 8th/9th gen consoles.

As the Senior 3D Environment Artist, you will be responsible for developing world-class visual solutions for Architectural and Environmental 3D assets needed for our games.

Position Summary: Senior 3D Weapon/Vehicle Artist
Must have Unreal AAA game development exp. with at least 1 shipped title as Sr. Weapon/Vehicle Artist on PC and 8th/9th gen consoles within the last 3 years.
A portfolio of work that represents your talent, skills, and artistic style is required.
As the Sr.Weapon/Vehicle Artist, you will be responsible for creating world-class assets for Modern/Sci-Fi games.
Collaborate and communicate with other Artists, Animators, Designers at TLM to help develop world-class, Cross-Play centric, games.
Fulltime, 100% Remote position. We are an Unreal studio.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Art Director and Leads as they establish the visual/technical direction for Weapon and Vehicle assets needed for our games.
Adhere to best practices and workflows that have been established for the team, help improve them as needed, and mentor others as needed.
Faithfully create models, texture, and materials that are based on approved concepts from the Art Director.
Collaborate with Tech Artists and Tech Animators to implement and test related weapon/vehicle rigs and animations within UE4.
Assist the Outsourcing Manager as needed for on-boarding or training of external partners.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Art, Architecture, or Design.
3-5 years experience as a Sr. 3D Weapon/Vehicle Artist.
Minimum of 1 successful, AAA, UE4 game shipped as a Sr. 3D Weapon/Vehicle Artist on PC and 8th/9th Gen consoles within the last 3 years.
Portfolio of work that demonstrates your talent for creating weapons and vehicles that are visually exceptional and believable, along with your understanding of different design parameters that govern the spectrum of weapon and vehicle classes.
Expert hard surface modeling skills.
Meticulous ability to optimize assets for functionality and performance.
Experience creating modular weapon/vehicle assets that are ready to be rigged for animation/dynamic systems.
Expertise in Maya/Fusion 360, Substance, Photoshop, and ZBrush.
Proficiency with JIRA and Perforce.
