Regressou a nova edição dos prémios “Novos Talentos FNAC” com a edição de 2023. Esta nova edição tem prémios para os videojogos e que são:
“a) Prémio Repsol: 10.000€
b) Prémio HP: Cadeira OMEN Citadel
c) Prémio Lisboa Games Week: Presença na Loading Zone”

o júri é composto por:

Até às 23h59 do dia 30 de abril de 2023 qualquer pessoa pode sumbeter o seu projeto desde que:
“(…)O jogo submetido não pode ter sido lançado em qualquer plataforma comercial e são aceites jogos dados como completos, em Beta ou Alpha desde que na experiência dejogo dada, seja possível de chegar a um fim, mesmo que parcial.
São aceites jogos desenvolvidos nos últimos 2 anos, podendo já ter sido submetidos ou mostrados noutros concursos ou eventos.(…)”

Responsibilities
Communicate, pitch and prototype fun core game mechanics that appeal to our target demographic of grown-up gamers (55+).
Articulate strong visions and guidelines for how to build great content and levels that hits our retention and revenue targets.
Work with our UX teams to design smooth user onboarding systems and FTUE funnels that retain the largest possible share of players.
Help our engineering and data teams understand the tools we need to create and operate our products faster and more efficiently.
Work in close collaboration with product management to manage game economies across all Arkadium products and create monetization loops that provide tremendous value to the player while reaching our revenue goals.
Constantly optimize games for short and long term retention – building features that appeal to our audience and improve KPIs

Requirements
5 year casual / free-to-play industry experience
Understanding of free-to-play game mechanics and current gaming trends
Exceptional communication, analysis, and creative thinking skills
Ability to own game design features from ideation through full production
Proficiency in game design documentation and ability to clearly articulate features
Strong project and time management skills to ensure on-time delivery
Comfortable mentoring other game designers and sharing insights with the team

What Does The Job Actually Involve?
Working closely with designers and the analytics team to develop the right inputs, and measurements for evaluating a games economic patterns.
Creating models for various interpretations of the game economy and forecasting player behaviours to find the right global maxima approach.
Collaborate with the Art Leads to find the right information hierarchy and UI conventions to get information across to the user in a tone and style appropriate to each game.
Working with the analytics department to understand the results of your work and the impact it has on player behaviour.
From paper to playable you will be able to visualise the desired UX, both in UX tools or in Unity.
Providing feedback based on your expertise on a wide range of games.

Your Hard Skills
A minimum of 3 years experience in an economy design or balancing role within gaming.
Can create models in industry standard tools to model player behaviours and the resultant economy impacts of those.
Can devise the parameters and measurements for effective AB testing of game economy variations.
Economics Degree or similar academic background
Coding / prototyping skills to be able to create a simulation of the game economy.
Experience of mobile game live ops, A/B testing and telemetry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work creatively in a demanding team environment.
Absolute passion for playing and making video games, especially mobile games.
Strong creative ideas and imagination, able to entertain players with challenges, humour, surprises and fun.
Positive attitude, self driven and able to work alone or as part of a team.
